GEN 4:1 Now Adam knew ("Yada") Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man from the LORD."
"Knew" is "Yada" in the Hebrew -- equivalent to the Greek word "Ginosko"
Gen 4:1 - Yada -- our encounter with God should produce something
MAT 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day,
"Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew (Ginosko) you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
If you can't hear from God, you can't do His will.
Many are doing "stuff" for God, but is it what God wants? God wants to speak to us as friends and true friendship is born out of intimacy with God.
