Questions About the Prayer and Healing Rooms

"What is It?"

The Prayer and Healing Rooms are set up sort of like a doctor's office. Teams of people pray for a short while in private rooms for those who come to receive ministry, teams are made up of men and women with tested ministry, character, etc. We pray for physical, spiritual, and emotional healing and any need the client has. We have prayed for financial breakthrough, relationships to be restored, difficult situations, etc. as well as anything else the Lord reveals.

"Is it a Place?"

Yes, it is place for to receive prayer for any need including sickness. It is not a church service, but has the presence of God in a real, tangible way. We are non-denominational and are not trying to change anybody's doctrines, enlist them in any church or movement, or promote any unusual, controversial doctrines, we just share the love of Christ and believe Jesus for our healing.

"Can Anyone Come?"

Yes, anyone can come. We are open to the public.

"Why Do You Pray for the Sick?"

We pray for the healing of the sick because Christian compassion calls for it. No one who is an earthly father would want to watch his child suffering in pain and anguish. Neither does our Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants to rescue us from destruction. He has already proven this to us by freely sacrificing us His Son. Romans 8 says: "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Rom 8:32) As extensions of His heart, we give love and care to mankind, we want to do all we can to deliver what Jesus has provided through the cross to a needy world. The gifts of the Holy Spirit also include gifts of healings. (1 Cor. 12)

We also pray for the sick because God commands us to in Mark 16: "And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:16-18)

"What is the Scriptural Basis for Praying for the Sick?"

We believe the 53rd Chapter of Isaiah holds the key to our redemption, spiritual and physical. Isaiah 53:6 says, ". . . the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." This verse provides for our salvation. In Isaiah 53:4 it says, in the Hebrew, "Surely He hath borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains." This verse provides for healing. Matthew takes this verse from the Old Testament to the new in Matthew 8:17 when he says, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. If we can believe that God laid our iniquities on Jesus, and because He laid our iniquities on Him there is salvation for us, then we can also believe what Isaiah tells us that He also laid our sickness and disease on Jesus and because of that healing is for us also.

We believe the word is the seed, that when planted will produce an abundant harvest. We must first understand God's word for the provision of healing before we can possess the manifestation of it. We therefore share God's word on healing, before we pray, to produce prevailing faith in the hearer that becomes the substance of things hoped for and is evidenced in the manifestation of healing.

"Do You Ask for Money?"

We do not charge for ministry, but do gratefully accept free-will offerings to cover operating expenses. We trust God will provide for this ministy by speaking to those who would support this ministry through their prayers and gifts. The directors, advisors, and ministry team do not receive any compensation, expense accounts or financial benefits of any kind. All gifts go toward the rent, materials and supplies needed to minister the healing message.

"What is your focus?"

Our focus is always be on Christ, not on the enemy and his dominions. The Bible says we are to be aware of the enemy and his schemes and be on guard against them, but we must never allow ourselves to magnify his presence over that of the Lord's. It is the love of the Lord that makes this ministry work--our love for Him and His for us. It is the reason that we serve Him and the reason that He honors our prayers. We want that love to be the foremost thing that those coming in for ministry see. It should also be the thing that keeps us all pressing on toward the high calling, shoulder to shoulder, shield to shield. God called us together as a team. Together we run the race; with God at our sides, we finish.
